Bulandshahr violence: BJP MLA claims cop shot himself after he became hopeless

Bulandshahr, Dec 29(DC): BJP MLA Devendra Singh Lodhi on Friday stirred a controversy in Bulandshahr violence case stating that inspector Subodh Kumar shot himself in haste after he became hopeless.

Speaking to ANI, Devendra Singh said: "While trying to save himself, the cop became hopeless and fired at himself in haste. He was not targeted by anyone; it was a mob that got aggressive as the police was not filing an FIR."

Notably, Subodh Singh died on December 3 after violence occurred in Bulandshahr over the finding of cow carcasses in Chingrawath village.

The post-mortem revealed that Subodh had six marks of injuries inflicted by stones and also a bullet was stuck inside his skull.

On Thursday police arrested Prashant Natt, a man who allegedly shot inspector Singh. As per police, Natt has confessed to having shot at Singh.

Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh gave his life while performing his duty to control the mob before the situation gets worse in Bulanshashr, Uttar Pradesh earlier this month.
Reportedly, Subodh Kumar Singh was attacked by a mob when he and his team had gone to a village to defuse tension after alleged cow carcasses were found in a field. Thereafter, the protests escalated after activists of right-wing group Bajrang Dal came to the area and blocked a road with a truck carrying the dead cattle.
Inspector Singh was attacked with an axe, stones, sticks and dragged before he was shot dead with his licensed revolver, police said. The details came out after the arrest of Prashant Natt, the main accused
The officer was first hit with a rock by a mob of around 400 people. Bajrang Dal activist Yogesh Raj, who has been missing since December 3 when violence erupted just 20 meters from the police station, and another man called Kalua had instigated the mob, according to the police.
Mr Singh was trying to handle the mob when Kalua reportedly attacked him with an axe. The cop’s finger was chopped off before he was struck in the head. The officer tried to escape but the accused men caught hold of him and dragged him to the fields, where Prashant Natt took out Subodh Kumar Singh service revolver and shot him, police said.
The police took Nat and his accomplice to Kalwa for recreating the crime scene. The police said all the accused in the incident were from the Chingrawathi village, of which four are in jail now.
Initially the prime accused was Yogesh Raj, the Bajrang Dal district convenor, but he is still at large.

It is time for citizens of India to demand more stringent 'Communal Violence Bill' that has been stalled for years. India Needs a Victim and Witness Protection Law, otherwise, Kandhmal, Godhra, Muzzafarnagar main perpetrators will be go unpunished.
The Bulandshahr violence is created by the Sangha Parivar with BJP's backing. The MLA's stand proves its indirect involvement.

Even during Gujrat riots of 2002 all 2000 people shot themselves after becoming hopeless. In UP 100 children died from lack of oxygen in hospital after they became hopeless. In Bihar shelter homes inmates were raped and murdered after they became hopeless. Clean chit is expected for BJP ministers and activists for their hopeless treatment.
