Gadag, Dec 30: In a heart-wrenching incident, 6 friends who were on the way to attend their friend's wedding, were killed in a deadly road mishap here in Gadag on Sunday December 30.
The deceased are Ananda Betageri (28), Aruna Betageri(26), Siddu(26), Manoj Kumar(27), Channu(26) and Amrith(27).
The accident occurred at around 3 am near Adavi Somapura village. The driver of a car heading towards Gadag lost control over it and hit the divider. The car then toppled and hit the car in which 6 friends from Dharwad were travelling, killing them on spot.
The cops had a tough time removing crushed bodies of the deceased inside the car.
Four others who were in the other car Manjunath, Virupakshaiah, Vijay Kumar and Vishwanath have sustained injuries and have been shifted to a hospital in Hubli.
