Udupi, Jan 3: Condemning entry of women at Sabarimala temple, district BJP members, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists staged a protest in front of Martyrs ground, Ajjarkad Udupi here on Thursday, January 3.

District BJP president Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde said, “Many temples, and religious centres have been destroyed by other communities. Such activities are happening since many years. Even after 70 years of Independence, such acts are taking place. Hindus religious places are dominated by Christian and Muslim community. Kerala is one place which is dominated by communist party.

“Do not hurt the feelings of Hindu devotees by violating traditions. We respect the verdict of the Supreme Court, but it should not hurt devotees and their culture. All Ayyappa devotees will follow rituals strictly. Article 7 says ‘All are equal before law’. Entry of women to Ayyappa shrine is a question of belief and dedication. Here, the Communist party is creating problems. We will not tolerate this. There are some strict traditions in Muslim community. Why is no one questioning about that?

“There is no peaceful atmosphere in Kerala. Two women did enter Sabarimala with police protection. Finally, what did they achieve? He questioned.

Manjunath Swami, leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad addressing the protestors said, “CPI(M) has lost its existence everywhere in the country. The Supreme Court has given many verdicts against the Hindu society. Women’s entry to Sabarimala is an offence. It is an attack of rational thoughts. Sabarimala is a place to pray for common people, but some anti-community people are intending to disturb peace around us. The Hindu society will not tolerate this kind of attack on peaceful religious centres.”

Sunil K R, regional convenor of VHP said, “The two women entered Sabarimala. This is the end of Pinarayi Vijayan’s government. Bindu and Kanakadurga are the last nails of the government’s coffin. No legal rules are higher than religious beliefs.”

Balaguru said, “Pinarayi Vijayan has committed a grave mistake. The Supreme Court’s verdict is condemnable. Kurukshethra war should begin from here. This is the end to Kerala government. No one said that there is no entry for women, but only for some age group. This is a systematic conspiracy of Kerala government to hurt Hindus.”

BJP leaders Shreesha Naik, Prabhakar Poojary, Shyamala Kundar, Sandhya Ramesh, Veena Shetty, Shivakumar Ambalpady, Suresh Naik, Sheela K Shetty, Dinakar Babu and others were present.

Who are these BJP goons who go against Supreme Court Ordinance? We don't need such goons. We need to obey Supreme Court if it's ordinance is fair. BJP playing politics here. BJP doesn't have any respect for women. Why Smriti Irani, Sushma Swaraj and other women ministers continue in this anti women government?

BJP has an eye on Sabrimala temple collection. They want to grab that money for their forthcoming election. They are not fighting for the entry of women at the temple. If they all really concerned about women, why they don't come forward to fight for justice against women kidnap, rape and murder? Why they have not demanded the punishment to the rapist? VIP Women from BJP wings, they have not uttered a word against rapists, they love their chair, they don't want to lose their valuable chair, so they do not open their mouth.

Can you please enlighten the readers ? Is the temple 'all women' then ?? Again, women should be below 10 above 50 ? Or they should prove their purity state before entry ??

Modi talks about the Sabarimala issue as one of Tradition. The central Govt of which he is the PM issues advisories to the state Govt to provide protection to women who wish to visit the Sabarimala Temple in accordance with the Supreme Court order which has not been stayed while considering the 17 or more review petitions.

The BJP with the active connivance of the RSS and Amit Shah keep instigating their BJP siblings in Kerala to oppose the entry of women in the temple and create Law and Order problem for the state.

The BJP has proved beyond doubt that is anti women, anti dalit ,anti working class, anti youth, anti middle class. Establised itself as a Suit Boot Ki sarkar.

Cows, goats are allowed inside the temple - Yet devout women are NOT ALLOWED?
God - Lord Rama never ONCE SAID HIS TEMPLE IS ONLY FOR MEN AND SOUL-LESS creatures!
What does it take to shake off this prejudice and divisive movement?
God crated Women as equals to Men - if they can cook and clean for these men why not let them in the Temple-let them pray to their GOD JUST LIKE the MEN the SINNERS DO!

May God give these men kind, compassionate heart and sound mind.

Where in the HOLY BOOK do we find this written?????????????

These are the same people who used to ask Muslims- Wheter constitution comes first or the religion comes first. Now look at them. They are openly declaring that religion is above the Constitution of the country. But they cannot be termed as Anti nationals; as they are from the Chaddi gang/ family.

Mr. Mattaru Ratnakara Hegde first started his speech with lies, blended them with non sense and again finished his speech with lies. So he doesn't deserve to be commented upon.

It's your internal problem. You solve it yourselves. Nobody is interfering you. Why are you dragging Muslims and Christians in this matter and blaming them. You are not worth to be the leaders your community; as you are hiding your inabilities by blaming others who have absolutely no involvement in this issue.
