“We speak for no one but this nation”, Zee News tells Rahul over channel boycott

Daijiworld Media Network

New Delhi, Jan 6: Six top executives of Zee News channel have written a letter to Congress president Rahul Gandhi clarifying that it was not supporting a particular political party.

Asking Rahul Gandhi to end the channel's boycott, top executives of the group including Sudhir Chaudhary clarified in a letter and said, “We are nobody’s mouthpiece and we refuse to be called so. We also believe in the principles of democratic protests, which is why we are writing to you. This is to politely yet firmly register our protest your party and its spokespersons for routinely indulging in baseless commentaries in self defense.”

Urging Congress to send their spokespersons on the channel, they said, “We speak for no one but this nation. We believe nationalism is a virtue and not a political tag, which unfortunately your party has failed to realize. Your party’s interests would be better served if you advise your party spokespersons to fortify their arguments on TV debates with facts rather than questioning the credibility of the journalists or the channel.”

In the letter they also stated that they encouraged diverse opinions on the platform and would be happy to host Congress spokespersons in the future. In the letter the channel executives also wished good luck for the upcoming electoral challenges.

In the letter Zee News also said that it had written to Rahul Gandhi in October 2018 following controversy over Pakistan Zindabad slogans raised during a rally addressed by Navjot Singh Sidhu. According to reports, Rahul Gandhi has not replied to the letter yet.

It may be recalled that Zee News owner and BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP, Subhash Chandra had clarified on live TV in 2016 that his channel was not pro-BJP.

In worldwide true journalism believed to be the fourth column of the democracy. When it comes to the paid news journalism Zee TV it serves only to the BJP-RSS agenda.
It owner BJP-backed independent candidate and media baron Subhash Chandra was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Haryana, after 14 Congress votes were declared invalid due to ‘the wrong pen’.

How many times has Zee News shown fake news?
In the race of TRP and to show breaking News first News Chanel may commit mistakes but the worse thing is that Zee never apologized for it’s a mistake. Here is the list, Please tell me in the comment section if I have mistaken any fact or if you have more examples:-

    1. Freezing Dawood's properties.
    2. Rs. 2000 note has a chip inside it, many Bhakts friends of mine still not ready to believe that it’s a piece of fake news.
    3. Doctored tape in JNU case.

I have been watching several Indian national and regional TV channels including Zee TV. Eventhough I do not have any political affiliation, as a nuetral observer, I feel that the TV channels should be fully nuetral. They should give importance for true news and should not be propaganda tools for any political party. Jai Hind.

In JNU they doctored a video tape & created "tukde tukde gang' analogy, after it was found to be fake did they apologize?
After Siddu's video was doctored to show another fake narrative to divert voters anger from ruling parties in 3 states it failed again, did it apologize?
If they don't change or they fear their mentor might lose in next election they are now trying to mend their bias, just like Ramdev & some other fake gurus & tycoons.
They are crying like CNN & Washington Post which too paint Trump as a villain & create same stories even to derail his appointee CJ.
Congress is doing right by following Trump's example, you either give equal space or get shooed out!
