Mangaluru, Jan 6: A three day solo art exhibition by Mangaluru-based well known artist Zena Colaco will be held at Preedvi Art Gallery, Bejai from January 11.

There will be around 50 works on display, mostly in acrylic, oil and water colours in various sizes and themes. It will be a mixed artwork display.

Winner of Daijiworld Swabhiman Award in 2011, Zena Colaco, also won the Unique Golden Brush Talent Award by Lions Club Intl Dt 317-D in November 2018.

This will be Zena’s third solo art exhibition, earlier ones being held at Orchid Art Gallery under the title of ‘Sounds of Silence’ in December 2010 and second under the same theme name in October 2014 at Chitrakala Parishat in Bengaluru. Both these events drew vast media attention because of the enormity of odds Zena had to overcome to become an artist despite being hearing and speech impaired.

Zena Colaco’s art works will be on display from January 11 to 13 at the Preediv Art Gallery.
