Shivamogga: Congress MLA threatens forest officer with dire consequences

Shivamogga, Jan 6: In an incident that has come to light a MLA belonging to the Congress party has threatened forest official with dire consequences.

Sangamesh, MLA of Bhadravati near here is the person who has threatned forest officer Seenappa Shetty.

As per the inforamtion available, it is said that this threat is given to concerned officer with regards to the construction of a temple in the forest near Kodligere of Bhadravati taluk.

The forest officer had served a notice not to encroach the forest land for building the temple. The locals had brought this to the notice of Sangamesh, the MLA. So Sangamesh has threatened the concerned officer.

In his threat, it is said that, the MLA abused the forest official and said, "DFO has okayed the project. You are also saying okay. Then why you have served the notice? Only one square feet of land will be used. Application also is given in this respect. It is okay. Today we have done the pooja. In future, no one should create any obstacle here. If anyone crosses the line I will severe their hands and feet. You will not listen if we tell in a proper manner."
