Couple held for drug peddling in Kashmir


Srinagar, Jan 8 (IANS): Police in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district arrested a couple on Monday for drug peddling.

Police said Sabzar Ahmad Rather and his wife were arrested with 10 kg of poppy during a routine check near Mirbazar area.

"The couple is involved in largescale sale of synthetic drugs to youths," a police officer said.

A FIR under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered against the couple.
