Udan-III: 15 airlines bid for 111 proposals


New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS): The Union government has received bids for 111 proposals which include operations of seaplanes in the third round of auction for the regional air connectivity -- UDAN -- scheme from 15 airlines, a senior government official said on Monday.

According to the official from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, 15 airlines have bid for a total of 111 initial proposals including floating aerodromes for seaplane operations.

However, proposals to be operated via chopper services have not been included in the third round, the official added.
