Cold Tuesday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS): It was a cold Tuesday morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature recorded at 7 degrees Celsius, the season's average.

The city continues to witness fog, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting moderate fog for the day.

At least 14 trains headed towards Delhi were delayed due to fog, a Railway official said.

The humidity level at 8.30 a.m. was 100 per cent. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius

The overall air quality of the city was recorded in the 'very poor' category with Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 319, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.1 degrees Celsius, the season's average, while the maximum settled at 20.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
