Villagers thrash three who killed student


Lucknow, Jan 9 (IANS): Three criminals who shot dead a student in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura were beaten up by villagers and are now in critical condition, police said on Wednesday.

The assailants, identified as Sonu, Amar Singh and Chote, are residents of Mathura and are admitted to a medical facility.

Yogesh (20) from Kehri Gadhi village was returning home when he was shot dead late on Tuesday.

On hearing the gunshot, villagers rushed to the scene and overpowered the bike-borne three. By then Yogesh had died as he was shot from close range, police said.
