Udupi: Prajwal Poojary, Aronica Ammanna Emerge Karate Champs

The valedictory ceremony of the state-level inter school karate competitions was held on Sunday December 28, at Hejamady Higher Primary School. The event had been jointly organized by Hejamady and Nittoor branches of district Kubudo Budokon Karate.
 


Prajwal S Poojary of Belman, bagged the grand championship in the boys’ category while Aronika Ammanna bagged the grand championship in the grls’ division.  Udyavar bagged the group trophy while Hejamady, Padubidri, and Nittoor, bagged the runners-up trophies. Kemman came in third.
 
State Bank of India retired officer Prabhakar K, taluk panchayat former member Narayan Poojary Hejamady, Adamar College Leelavati B Salian, entrepreneur Sudhakar Shetty, Kubudo Budokon Ravi Kumar, chief secretary Nityanand Kemman, auto rickshaw owners’ and drivers’ association president U Sufi, Uday Kumar Hejamady, Nittoor Primary School headmaster Santosh Cornelio, municipal member Geeta Sherigar, Kiran Kundapur, Satish Belman, Janardhan Nayak, Santosh Suvarna, Hejamady school headmaster Sanjeev T, and Karate trainer Suresh Yermal, were present.
