Bengaluru: CCB inspector and head constable suspended over dereliction of duty

Bengaluru, Jan 13: T Sunil Kumar, city police commissioner has ordered the suspension of inspector and head constable of Organized Crime Squad of Central Crime Brach (CCB) on the accusation of dereliction of duty and demanding bribe.

Inspector R Prakash and head constable Satish are the people who are suspended. A company of Jayanagar called AIMMS had cheated hundreds of people by asking them to invest hundreds of crores of rupees on the pretext of offering high interest rates. There was no official complaint filed in CCB in this regard.

In addition, the senior officers of CCB also were not aware of this case. However, inspector Prakash and head constable Satish, visited the office of the fraudster company and introduced themselves as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of CCB and said that a case of fraud is filed against the company and they need to give a bribe of Rs one crore to quash the case.

The owner of the said company had alerted the city police commissioner directly in this respect. As a result of which both the accused are kept on suspension.
