Mangaluru, Jan 17: On January 16, St Agnes College (Autonomous) Mangaluru in association with Tarlivind institute of aviation organised the programme that would soon commence. The function began by invoking the blessing of God through a prayer song led by Rishel D’Souza which was followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp.
The chief guest Joseph DC, assistant professor of Tourism, Mangalore University briefed about the career opportunities of the aviation programme.
With an opening quote “In aviation, we need people to work, it is a service, it cannot be replaced by machines”.
Sr Dr Jeswina A C, the principal of St Agnes College and the president of the programme addressed the gathering and motivated the students who have joined the programme.
Dawin Prakash, freelance Corporate Softskills trainer and consultant, who was the guest of honour spoke about the ample placement opportunities, the qualities and skills aviation training provides.
Maria Pawar, aviation training and development specialist shared her life experience in aviation.
Vice-principal of St Agnes College Sr Dr M Venissa A C, Sandhya Nair, founder of Tailwind Instititure, Sandhya Nair were the other guests of honour present for the event. Priya Medappa was the convenor of the function.
Leone, a student of the aviation programme concluded the event by proposing the vote of thanks.
The programme motivated the student of aviation programme and encouraged more students to join the programme. The function was compered by Joshwita Veigas, a fellow student of the aviation programme.
