Nepal bank announces ban of Indian notes above Rs 100

Kathmandu, Jan 21 (IANS): Nepal's central bank has announced the ban of Indian currency notes with denominations above Rs 100.

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Sunday issued a circular for the institutions licensed by it notifying them about the ban, reports Xinhua news agency.

Nepal's cabinet in December had decided to ban the use of these currency notes.

  

The decision to ban these notes has come a time when the NRB has requested the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) arequesting the latter to allow Nepal to use currency notes with all denominations.

Currently, only the notes with a denomination of Rs 100 and below are freely exchangeable in Nepal.

    Modi led BJP can even claim credit to Nepal bank announcing ban on Indian notes above Rs.100.

    This is after effect of crap demonetization, that not just affected Indians excluding those ultra-rich, but also our friendly neighbors, who all along continued to use Indian currency in their country.

    Point is who is right, Modi led BJP who takes credit for everything or the people who speak against Modi led BJP wrong policies and termed as Anti-nationals.

    A small Hindu country trying to flex its financial muscles against India ...even Nepal knows Modi's "Make in India" is a bunch of bakwaas and thats why they are leaning towards China like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

    BJP is boasting on this development that development, fastest growing economy , fabulous GDP etc, a minnow neighboring country like Nepal has this guts……., and that too so called Hindu country ? Looks like everything is fake from this BJP!

    Good move to remove and stop fake Indian currency circulating in Nepal via Porki land. Because of Demonetisation it's risk to have High Currency Notes..
