Oppn parties know they will lose polls so looking for excuses: Javadekar on EVM row

Jaipur, Jan 22 (PTI): Taking a swipe at the opposition for forming a committee on the voting machine issue, Union minister Prakash Javadekar Tuesday said the parties were going to face defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and therefore they have started to look for excuses.

Exuding confidence that the BJP-led NDA will again form the government at the Centre, the human resource development minister said his party will get more votes and more seats as compared to the previous Lok Sabha elections.

"In Kolkata rally, they did not form manifesto committee, they also did not set up any committee to look into that what will be their common minimum programme but they formed only one committee and it was about EVM (electronic voting machine). They know they are going to lose elections so they want to make EVMs the excuse of their defeat," Javadekar said at a press conference here.

"The opposition has no leader and no vision while we have the vision of an India without casteism, communalism, terrorism, appeasement and unemployment," he added. He also accused the Congress of becoming narrow-minded party.

"NDA will get tremendous success in the leadership of Narendra Modi. We will get more seats and votes compared to the last elections," Javadekar said.

In Rajasthan, he said, the party has set a target to win all the 25 Lok Sabha seats. On a question related to former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, who skipped a party's meeting yesterday, Javadekar said she was in Jhalawar on a personal visit. "She is a popular leader and will be in an important role here as the national vice president in the party," he said.

I am hearing this EVM thing from so long.
    Just a clarification.
Has any court anywhere in india given any verdict about this issue?
we would like to know of that.
It should be a simple open/shut case.
whether it can be manipulated or Not.

No point talking here, commenting here on somebodys statement.
    This is all unnecessary.
take the proof, file a PIL in the court. wait for the judgement.
Is this is so difficult to do that?
Unless ofcourse, its only a political thing. thats a different matter.

Javedkar and party - if you and your party have such confidence on public support then why you afraid and leaning towards EVM machine. Open your mind and follow the non temper ballot voting system.
To avoid any sort of ballot box seize - deploy team of security personal from CFS; State Reserve Police; BSF and on top batch of ARMY in each both and ballot box securing place.

Result will be fare and INDIA will get a able leaders with a strong government .

Javdekar seems to have woken up from his prolonged slumber. Every election including the last general elections had allegations of EVM tampering. what harm is there if the opposition parties are wanting to have the elections carried out in a free and fair manner.

javdekar saab please also be rest assured that once the elections results are declared and the opposition parties are in power, EVM Tampering will be investigated. The Truth has to come out some day.

Every faulty EVM voted for BJP, even when any other parties button is pressed. This is what concerned even average people, who are not bothered by politics of date.

It is agreed that, when such faults are found in a machine, such machine's are separated. Who knows how many went without appropriate calibration?

EVM tampering could be a real threat and all must be careful in every booth level and every voter level. Like it or not, even the party activists assigned for booth poll duties, can be sold and bought, easily these days.

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed a PIL demanding junking the electronic voting machines (EVMs) and a return to the ballot papers in the future state Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, saying doubts would always be there with any system.

Dismissing the PIL filed by NGO Nyaya Bhoomi, Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, who was heading the three-judge bench that heard the matter, said: “Every machine is capable of being used and misused and doubts will be there with every system.”

There is the answer for people asking for ballot papers.

One colleague telling something.Another saying something. BJP rules the centre and 17 states.
There are so many leaders, so please go by what official spokespersons say. BJP has never criticized EVM's while they lost. Congress has always found issues with it. Illiterates and slaves want this country to believe that MODI and BJP doesn't have a mandate.
