Priyanka Gandhi enters active politics, given charge of UP East

New Delhi, Jan 23 (ET): Congress President Rahul Gandhi today appointed Priyanka Gandhi as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East and Jyotiraditya Scindia as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh west.

With the appointment as AICC general Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra officially enters active politics ahead of the general elections later this year.

K.C Venugopal has been appointed as the new AICC General Secretary (Organisation).

Venugopal will be replacing Ashok Gehlot - the new Rajasthan Chief Minister- who until recently served as the party General Secretary (Organisation). Priyanka, on the other hand, replaces Ghulam Nabi Azad as the AICC general Secretary of Uttar Pradesh. Azad will now be AICC General Secretary for Haryana.

The media questioned Gajendra Chauhan’s appointment as the dean of FTII, claiming his credentials are not worthy enough for him to be appointed as a head of the hallowed institution.
The same set of people raised strong reservations on the anointment of Yogi Adityanath as the UP chief minister who was a 5 time MP before being appointed as CM.

However, they have veritably no qualms in supporting and glorifying Priyanka who is basically a ‘non-achiever’ and has entered politics only because of her family name

Priyanka is a welcome figure to the political arena. She I am sure will beat her own grandmother better Indira Gandhi.

No Matter what people say, most of them say things about Indira Gandhi without knowing facts. But anyways India has never had a Prime Minister like Indira Gandhi and Atal Bihari.
The only figure that has the charisma and the wit to beat many other politicians is only Priyanka Gandhi.

All the detractors should open eyes and allow some space to all young politicians and let them perform. Let us allow some fresh thinking into our politics.

I have my doubts on Priyanka Vadras induction. This will not make a difference to the fortune of Congress in UP. Their only backup leaders seems to be the family without any admin skills or experience. No young leaders from within the cadres have come up in the last few years. Even if they spring up they are snubbed and lose relevance. So the future is very bleak for the party.

Gentleman, conversion of black money has been done already and its done by BJP. Depositing unaccounted amount of currency in the banks of all regional offices. Demonetization for the people, who earned it and collected in small amounts for their future. Because of Modi's overnight decision they had to stand in queue to convert it and even lose life for it.

The strategy is already planned much earlier than today. Both Congress and BJP top brass are very active after the Congress win in 3 Northern states -MP, Rajastan and Chattisgarh and its has boosted the morale of Congress and the equation has changed overnight.

I have seen Rahul Gandhi's speech in 2014 and attended his speech just few weeks back in Dubai. He has improved a lot. Where as in 2014, Modiji was so confident and attracting crowds. Today same enthusiasm is missing with Modijee and with the workers.

Nobody expected MP, Rajastan and Chattisgarh results in Congress favour in spite of EVM mal functions in many booth level. This time election will be do or die. Understand from some media, RSS is backing Mr. Gadkari as PM candidate as he is considered as moderate in his approach.

In 2014, Modi in a very justifying manner, questioned Indians about voting for Congress which will have Sonia Gandhi as a PM (his assumption) and asked if in the entire nation there is not one capable person to become a Prime Minister of the nation apart from one foreign national.

Well, people in response, elected none other than himself as the PM. What he did ? Cribbed about the past 70 years of rule and blamed it for each and every failure of his party. He said that what has been carried on for last 70 years is not easy to correct so soon. Fair enough - he tried in his best capacity to change it in the past five years. Now we are at a juncture to vote a government again.

What will be the topic of his emotional blackmail in 2019 ? RG is not a foreign national. The recently introduced PG is not a foreign national. SG has retired from active politics and handed over the Party President position to her son. Nevertheless there is no indication that either of these will be made a PM.

But still, what will be Modi's question to citizens this year ?

Well.. as per the analysis, the way Yogi is ruling UP, its definitely will give the opposition parties the boost. the votes which was going to be transferred to SP-BSP, now will transfer to the kitty of congress . BJP wont get any news votes in BJP, as their threshold level was crossed in 2014, congress new to game in UP, votes will be leaked from BJP and SP-BSP. and one more point to be discussed. as congress has entered in the fray , the fight which BJP projects RAM VS ALI, this gets nullified as its going to be tri-polar
