Kundapur, Jan 28: A fisherman who had gone fishing on early Monday morning lost his life, after he lost balance and fell into the sea.

The deceased is identified as Krishna Kharvi (52), a resident of Hosapete, near Trasi.

Kharvi along with other fishermen had left for the sea at 5 am. The rough waves made him lose balance from the boat and he fell into the sea.

Sad incident, Fishing Department or Fishing Societies should distribute free life jacket to all those who are engaged in fishing activities. A great loss to the family.

It is very sad andmydeepestcondoences. But here is my question. Why do Some , if not outmost people take risks .? Why did the wear a life-west which keeps ones body buoyant in saltwater? Is it too expensive to buy one or was he too ignorant ?

Why didn't boat carry a tow line with float rings ? It is not difficult to make one out of styrofoam etc. Why did he go alone without a second perso for help?

Why don't the municipal or districts make laws about safety and educate people about these things?

Carelessness and stupidity ask a hefty price.
