Mangaluru, Jan 30: Vikas College of Physiotherapy conducted a day-long workshop on ‘Yoga Practices for Anxiety and Depression’ on January 28.
Dr Rashmitha Shetty from Nitte Educational Institutions was the resource person. Parthasarathi Palemar, coordinator, Vikas Educational Institutions, Dr Ajay Thakur, principal, Vikas College of Physiotherapy and teaching faculties of Vikas College of Physiotherapy were present on the occasion. Dr Ajay Thakur, principal, welcomed the gathering. He in his welcome note gave introduction about importance of Yoga and its importance to students.
Dr Rashmitha Shetty, resource person, explained importance of Yoga to relieve anxiety and depression in practical manner and enlightened students about its implication. Total of 119 students from Vikas College of Physiotherapy, City college of Physiotherapy, M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy and Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy were among the delegates.
Students enthusiastically participated and learnt from the expert. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were provided to the students by college. Attendance certificates were provided to all the delegates.
