New Delhi, Jan 30 (IT): Congress president Rahul Gandhi claimed on Wednesday that he met some BJP MPs in Lok Sabha wanting to join him ahead of the 2019 elections.
Speaking at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium, Gandhi was addressing a youth convention and said, "I met 2-3 BJP MPs who told me they want to join me."
Gandhi then continued his attack on PM Modi over the Rafale deal and said that he met former defence minister and Goa CM Manohar Parrikar who told Gandhi that he was not informed about the changes in the deal.
"We asked 3-4 questions on Rafale but the chowkidaar would always look this way, that way, but not straight in the eye," Gandhi said in Delhi on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Gandhi met Parrikar and apparently spoke to him about the Rafale deal intricacies.

"The truth has a way of coming out and Modi government can't hide from it. They bypassed years of negotiations undertaken by the UPA govt with the sole purpose of benefiting Anil Ambani," said Gandhi.
The Congress chief further said that his party does not want to divide the country and wants to treat all Indians equally.
