Rahul Gandhi says Manohar Parrikar told him PM Modi kept him in dark on Rafale

New Delhi, Jan 30 (IT): Congress president Rahul Gandhi claimed on Wednesday that he met some BJP MPs in Lok Sabha wanting to join him ahead of the 2019 elections.

Speaking at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium, Gandhi was addressing a youth convention and said, "I met 2-3 BJP MPs who told me they want to join me."

Gandhi then continued his attack on PM Modi over the Rafale deal and said that he met former defence minister and Goa CM Manohar Parrikar who told Gandhi that he was not informed about the changes in the deal.

"We asked 3-4 questions on Rafale but the chowkidaar would always look this way, that way, but not straight in the eye," Gandhi said in Delhi on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Gandhi met Parrikar and apparently spoke to him about the Rafale deal intricacies.

"The truth has a way of coming out and Modi government can't hide from it. They bypassed years of negotiations undertaken by the UPA govt with the sole purpose of benefiting Anil Ambani," said Gandhi.

The Congress chief further said that his party does not want to divide the country and wants to treat all Indians equally.

Expecially when all had appreciated the move to visit an ailing opposition minister. Even the BJP had applauded this move and the clown prince squandered it.

NEW DELHI: Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday accused Congress president Rahul Gandhi of using his courtesy visit for "petty political gains".

In a letter written to Rahul Gandhi, Parrikar wrote, "I feel "I feel let down that you have used this visit for your petty political gains.

He added, "Paying a courtesy visit and then stooping so low as to make false statement for political gain has raised, in my mind, questions about the sincerity and purpose of your visit itself.

If at all Rahul is not having some information on the Rafale deal, he would not have raised questions and defended his move against Modi. Something fishy the way BJP big wigs twist & turn and get irritated and lose temper. If they are innocent why they cannot cooperate with opposition and their demand. Guilty conscience pricks the mind & heart seems valid.

"I feel let down that you have used this visit for your petty political gains. In the five minutes you spent with me, neither did you mention anything about Rafale, nor did we discuss anything related to it," Parrikar wrote in a letter to Rahul.

Nothing whatsoever about Rafale was even mentioned in your meeting with me, said Parrikar in the letter.

"Paying a courtesy visit and then stooping so low as to make a false statement for petty political gain has raised, in my mind, questions about sincerity and purpose of your visit," wrote Parrikar.

What a great propaganda about make in India before the elections and Modi has snatched the employment and prosperity of indigenous public share holding company and so many employees. How we can vote such a treacherous person who robs Indian citizens and feeds the who are already floating high in riches. People should fight against Modi and not watching the show when lone Rahul Gandhi has taken the fight to expose Rafale secret deal.
