Udupi, Jan 31: In an incident which happened at Wednesday January 30, a person seemed to have tried to kidnap a lady. However, he pushed her out of the car, and fled after leaving the car near Kinnimulki here. The kidnapper, who appeared to be forcibly taking the lady away, left the car on national highway 66 near Balaipade near Kinnimulki in the city for some reason.

The gray colour Maruti Ritz car was moving towards the city from the direction of Mangaluru, and a lady inside the car was heard screaming. It is said that when the car approached the auto rickshaw stand at Kinnimulki - Balaipade, the lady opened the door of the car and was seen trying to jump out. The driver slowed down the car, pushed the lady out, and fled. After dumping the lady, the driver tried to drive the car through the city by using the fly over at Kinnimulki. As the service road had dense traffic at that time, he found it impossible to drive the car at high speed. Therefore, he stopped the car near a building where work in progress some distance away, before escaping by boarding a passing bus, some local auto rickshaw drivers stated.

The police are not yet sure whether the lady tried to jump out of the car or whether she was pushed out. As soon as the lady succeeded in coming out of the car, a Pajero car with a driver and a woman inside came there and picked the lady up, it is said. The auto rickshaw drivers said that the vehicle turned towards Mangaluru and went away.

A bag found inside the abandoned car was found to be containing makeup set, cash, and ticket. Cigarettes, head phone, and footwear were also found inside. No other documents were found. The car is said to be bearing registration number of this region. So far,   actual story behind this incident has not yet come into the open, as no complaint has been filed by anyone.

District superintendent of police, Laxman Nimbargi, said that no case has been registered relating to this incident so far as no one came forward with a complaint. He added that the police sub-inspector of Malpe station has been probing the incident. Malpe police inspector, Madhu, confirmed that no case was registered, and the police are trying to find out whether the lady fell down or was pushed out of the car.

The police have confiscated the car. Deputy superintendent of police, Jaishankar, and Malpe police inspector, Madhu, visited the spot.

"police are trying to find out whether the lady fell down or was pushed out of the car." Why police are probing this incident only, Why they are not searching for the culprits???? Are they are from rich family ???? I think police has to act smart and arrest the culprit to rescue the women ...May be she is forcibly taken away in another car...

CASE HAS TO BE REGISTERED AND ARREST THE ONE WHO TRIED TO TAKE AWAY GIRL...

If Police department makes quick efforts, they can find out immediately who is the owner of the car. Why delay to do this?.
