Mangaluru, Jan 31: Social worker Sowraj Mangaluru has exposed in his Facebook account, three people from outside the state who were begging in the name of Sai Baba using fake Aadhaar card in the city.

The men were begging in PVS, Hampankatta, State Bank and other places with saffron shawl on their heads saying that they had come from Shirdi. Their real face came to light when Sowraj questioned them looking at their attire.

Sowraj, who followed them, took pictures and uploaded them in social networks urging people not to trust the people who are begging in the name of Sai Baba.

Sowraj speaking to Daijiworld said that the three people had no knowledge of Sai Baba. One of the suspects fled while investigations were in progress. One of them is differently abled. “I inquired about them after I grew suspicious about their clothes. They told me the truth,” he said.

The video of the social worker has gone viral on social media with many appreciating Sowraj’s attempt to create awareness about such fraudsters in the city.
