LS adjourned till noon

New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS): The Lok Sabha was on Monday adjourned till noon after Congress, TMC and TDP members created a ruckus over various issues including alleged attempts to poach MLAs in Karnataka by the BJP.

Soon after the House assembled, Congress' K.C. Venugopal raised the issue of Karnataka and alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party had started "Operation Kamal" to destabilize the JD-S -Congress government.

"There is money transaction and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah's names have been mentioned in a tape released by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy," he said.

Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said she will allow them to speak after the Question Hour. But the Congress members trooped near the Speaker's podium and started slogan shouting.

Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress and Telugu Desam Party members also trooped near the Speaker's podium shouting slogans.

Trinamool members were protesting over the killing of their MLA in West Bengal and actions taken by the central agencies in the name of investigating the ponzi scams.

The TDP members demanded special status for Andhra Pradesh.

Amid the din, Mahajan took up one question on reservation. After that she adjourned the House till noon.
