Jubail, Jan 27: B H Badruddin Hammabba (49) died here following a cardiac arrest in the early hours of Saturday January 24. On the day prior to his death, Badruddin had undergone a medical check-up in the city. He breathed his last in the room of his brother-in-law Jamaluddin Abbusali from Hejamady.

Baduddin had been in Saudi Arabia for the past 24 years and has worked in various capacities including as cashier in a pharmacy in Dammam, a wholesale vegetable store, and at the time of his death was an executive driver with multiple visas at Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Jubail Industrial City.
 
Badruddin hails from Jokatte and was a resident of Krishnapura 5th Block. He was the son of Hammabba Jokatte and was married to the daughter of late Abbusali from Hejamady. He is survived by his wife Jameela, four children and a brother, named B H Abdul Khader Hammabba, who is employed in Marina Mall in Dammamm as well as his sisters. Badruddin is remembered as a sociable and friendly person involved in  community service and popular amongst Mangaloreans in and around Dammam, Jubail, and Riyadh.

His eldest son Mohammad Ashraf, who arrived in Saudi Arabia recently, is working here at SABIC Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company as an administrative assistant and was present at the time of his father’s death. The funeral was held on Sunday January 25 at Dammam Cemetery (91) after the ‘Janaza’ prayer at Al Rayhan Masjid in Dammam at around 5.30 pm. Consent was obtained from his wife for his burial to be held here.   
 
Relatives, friends, and well-wishers in and around Jubail, and Dammam have expressed their condolences on his untimely death.
