DMDK to finalise poll alliance by month-end

Chennai, Feb 12 (IANS): DMDK Deputy General Secretary L.K. Sudhish said here on Tuesday the party will finalise electoral alliance by the end of this month.

Speaking to reporters, Sudhish said the DMDK is in talks with many political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Party founder A. Vijayakant will announce the final decision soon.

The DMDK was part of the National Democratic Alliance during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections where it drew blank. In 2016 Assembly elections too, it failed to win any seat despite joining a multiparty alliance.
