New Delhi, Feb 14 (IT): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday said both the BJP and the Congress have formed governments that unleashed terror on people of India.

Mayawati said people should decide if there is any difference between the two parties. She said the Congress government has acted cruelly against innocent Muslims on the mere suspicion of cow slaughter.

This was apparently in reference to the Kamal Nath-led Congress government in Madhya Pradesh who recently booked people under the National Security Act for allegedly attacking cows.

Mayawati said, "Congress ki sarkaar ne purvvarti BJP ki tarah gau hatya ke shak mein musalmanon par barbar karyawahi ki (Just like the previous BJP government in [Madhya Pradesh], the present Congress government too has acted cruelly on innocent Muslims in the state)."
She also attacked the Yogi Adityanath government in UP and slammed it for booking 12 students of the Aligarh Muslim University for sedition.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh minister PC Sharma said, "We are doing what was promised in our manifesto. If Mayawati thinks something is unethical, she can write to us, we'll have discussions. There's no comparison between Congress and BJP."
