12 CRPF jawans kiled, many injured in blast in J&K's Pulwama district

Srinagar, Feb 14 (DC): At least 12 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed and over 40 injured after terrorists targeted a convoy with an explosive at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday.

The IED blast was followed by gunshots in Goripora area of Awantipora. The vehicle belonged to 54 battalion of the CRPF.

Terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

"Terrible news coming from the valley. A number of CRPF soldiers are reported to have been killed & injured in an IED blast. I condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms. My prayers for the injured & condolences to the families of the bereaved," former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted soon after the incident.

    Even in facebook, i have seen 100s of anti natinoals putting SMILEY on this terror attack news. these souls are going to celebrate tonight. The death of very soldiers who are sacrificing for the future of these ***** who are survinging on our tax money.. disgusting... Is this the only country where we have rogues who celebrate when the nation is in mourning ? what special place in hell reserved for such *****?
