PM Narendra Modi chairs CCS meet with top defence officials


New Delhi, Feb 15 (IT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is chairing a high-level CCS meeting in New Delhi to deliberate upon the Pulwama terror attack that killed at least 37 CRPF jawans on Thursday.

Top security officials are learnt to have made a presentation on the Pulwama terror attack and the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minsiter Arun jaitley, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Army chief General Bipin Rawat.

At least 37 CRPF personnel were killed and five injured on Thursday in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir when a Jaish suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district.
