J&K attack worst mistake by terrorists, those responsible will pay: Modi

New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS): A day after 45 CRPF troopers were killed in a gruesome terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the terrorists have committed their "biggest mistake" and those responsible have to pay.

"We have given complete freedom to the security forces of the country. We have full faith in their bravery and valour," Modi said while addressing a programme to flag-off the first indigenous Train 18, renamed as Vande Bharat Express at the New Delhi Railway Station.

Addressing the terror groups directly, the Prime Minister said: "Even those who are giving them shelters are responsible and have committed their worst mistake. They have to pay a very big price."

Modi also assured the nation that "those powers who are behind the attack will be punished for their deeds".

Hitting out at Pakistan, without naming it, "Our neighbouring country has already been sidelined by the international community; despite that if it feels it can create problem for India by creating instability, its their mistake."

His remarks came minutes after the Cabinet Committee on Security that decided to withdraw the "Most Favoured Nation" status given to Pakistan.

He then inspected the engine-less Train 18 that has been renamed Vande Bharat Express and flagged it off at 11.20 a.m.

Train 18, the country's first engine-less train manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, left from New Delhi railway station at 10 a.m. for Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of Modi.

Arnab Goswami has already declared War and Revenge on his channel Republic TV. Not sure if it includes Pakistan, but expect a lot of pumped-up action and loud noises emanating from his studio for some time.

Meanwhile in other related news, Modi-56 has yet again failed to convince his bff Xi to support the nomination of Masood Azhar for the Best Terrorist Award.

The increase in terrorist acts since 2014 even after all the 56inch chest thumping by Fraudendranath Modi that he will put an end to terrorism, is a result of the hate-breeding politics of the BJP!

"As many as 13,796 civilians and 5,123 security force personnel have been killed in Jammu & Kashmir since the advent of militancy in the 1990s. In fact, fatal civilian casualties in the state in 2017 were the highest in five years, registering a 167% rise to 40 from 15 in 2016."

A full fledged war with our enemy is overdue latest by mid- March. The enemy nation will be destroyed or dismembered , last time war gave birth to Bangladesh now it should be more than one country apart from Baluchistan. People of India stand united with our brave soldiers.

If politicians do do agree to abolish article 360/370 just give an apple orchard and a gun to non Kashmiri Indians, I will be the first to relocate. After 5 years bring a Akrama- Sakrama scheme to give official land rights.

Come on let us not play politics here.
When on the Indian side we have terrorist symphathizers and Pak supporters on the basis of religion, what can PM do? Anyone would be helpless. Not many comments though on the article by the usual gang.

I condemn the attack, and whoever done this, will pay for it.
But I have a doubt, a major attack on armed forces just before the UP election and now prior to LS election, now idea who is going to benefit?

Just imagine , if terrorists did this with the chinese army , what would be the reaction ??? Surgical strike is good to watch in movies only ..Best thing now for the Indian army to consider is gather up all separatists of Kashmir and publicly drill them with bullets , this is how you send fear down the spine of terrorists ,

You r right, we should kill the people responcible for this attack. You know one thing, the authorities while investigating any murder case, they focus two things, (1) who was the enemy of victim (2) who is going to benefit from the incident. In this case also we need to evaluate these two things, we already have an answer for first question, and also need to put some light in second question's angle too, as there was an attack on armed forces just before the UP election and now we all know LS election is within 2 months from now!

First angle Mr peacelover is there are lot of sympathisers within the country who give logistics support to these jihadis. after the attck they play with the sentiments stating where is the 56 inch 96 inch to keep the government on the tenterhooks. they are not iterested in counter attack but they keep barking for only one reason which is to unseat the government in power.
