Mangaluru, Feb 15: A aational seminar on Financial Reporting and Analytics was organised by the department of Commerce in association with CAST (Centre for Advanced Software Training) on Thursday, February 15 at Eric Mathias Hall. Jitesh Choudhury, senior manager, office of Director (Finance), MRPL, Managluru was the Chief Guest for the inaugural programme.

Jitesh Choudhury in his inaugural speech highlighted the growing importance of Financial Reporting and why the corporate need to do financial reporting. He also spoke on qualities which are required by professionals in the present era.



Fr Pradeep Anthony SJ, director of Commerce and Management, who shared his view on present situation where scams are increasing and he also appreciated the department of Commerce for organising programmes which gives opportunities for students to develop and improve their knowledge.

Silvia Das Merces Joao, student of II MCom. compered the programme. Dr Suresh Poojary, dean of Commerce welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. Nisha Poojari, co-convener, rendered the vote of thanks.
