Sidhu condemns attack but asks if entire nation can be blamed for handful of people

Chandigarh, Feb 15(PTI): Strongly condemning the "cowardly" attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama by a Pakistan-based terror group in which 40 CRPF soldiers were killed, Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday asked whether an entire nation can be blamed for a handful of people.

Forty CRPF personnel were killed and five injured on Thursday in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir when a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district.

The cricketer-turned-politician, who was among the invitees for the swearing in ceremony of Imran Khan as Pakistan prime minister last year, however posed, "For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?"

Talking to reporters here after the Punjab Assembly was adjourned for the day in solidarity with the CRPF soldiers killed in the terror attack, Sidhu said, "It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished."

The Punjab Assembly Friday strongly condemned the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed and passed a resolution for adjournment of the proceedings of the House for the day.

More than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora in south Kashmir around 3.15 pm.

The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack that took place about 20 km from Srinagar.

I being an Indian and a hindu ..I easily say "Sallam Mallikum " or "Inshallah "to my pak friends at work in the gulf ... ..But never heard a Namaskar in return ..though the meaning of the word is same ...there is so much distrust towards Indians and Hindus in particular ..which is implanted in these pakis .. but they tend to befriend Indians and hindus ..do not know with what ulterior motives.

    People,

I worked for Satellite Earth Station in Kuwait for more than an year as Station Engineer...we had about 5 Paki techs working there...I know their mentality very well...

They talk very nicely and praise you...very respectful...stand up when you enter the room...this is just show...gullible people like Ramya and Siddu think they are sweet people...they don't know what they talk about you behind you...

Since Satellite Earth Station works Station work 24X7 ...I kept a recorder in my office drawer...I was not surprised what I heard....

I wish I could make Ramya and Siddu listen that audio tape...and understand Pak mentality well....

I am more than convinced...they need a strong kick on their backside...

This is going on since long time...this need to STOP now...

    Tak...Takk...

Well, instead of typing some ****, better google search and type some facts, isn't it? As for my command over English language, well it's far from being 'very good', I'd say just average. Underestimating others' intellect? Well, I remember you ridiculing doctorates of Mr Moily and Ms Jayamala repeatedly.

Siddhu is absolutely right, after all, he visited Pakistan upon invitation unlike PM who visited uninvited. As for hugging, he just followed PM's footsteps.
