Punjab Minister cancels Pakistan visit after Pulwama attack


Chandigarh, Feb 15 (IANS): To protest against the dastardly attack on the CRPF convoy at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu on Friday cancelled his scheduled visit to attend the International Buffalo Congress in Lahore city in Pakistan.

Sidhu said in a statement here that he was going to take part in the International Buffalo Congress, which is being organized by the University of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Lahore from February 18 to 20.

He said that the gruesome attack on the CRPF convoy had shaken him emotionally, and in order to show his solidarity with the families of the troopers who lost their lives, he decided to cancel his visit to Pakistan.
