Indian, Pakistan armies trade fire on LoC


Jammu, Feb 19 (IANS): Indian and Pakistani troops traded fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Tuesday.

Defence Ministry spokesman Lt Colonel Devender Anand said the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing with small arms around 7 p.m. in Nowshera sector, violating the 2003 bilateral ceasefire.

"Indian Army is retaliating effectively," he added.
