Mamata condoles Bangladesh fire tragedy


Kolkata, Feb 21 (IANS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed condolences for the victims of a massive fire that killed at least 70 people in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.

Another 56 people were injured in the Wednesday night fire that engulfed several multi-storey buildings in Chawkbazar area of Old Dhaka.

"Saddened to hear about the tragic loss of lives... My heartfelt condolences to the grieving families," Banerjee tweeted. "We wish the injured a speedy recovery."
