Puttur, Feb 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given drive to the national level 'Kisan Samman Nidhi' project on Sunday, February 24. On the occasion, he interacted with the farmers of Karnataka. Modi spoke to the farmers from Tumkur and Puttur of the state through live web casting.

The live web casting with the Prime Minister was organized in the Cashew Research Center of the town. Sediyapu Janardhan Bhat is the agriculturist who spoke to Modi directly during this programme. Janardhan Bhat took this opportunity to thank the Prime Minister for the supply of fertilizers.

In his conversation with the Prime Minister, Janardhan Bhat said, "I am a cashew agriculturist. A small farmer who grows Banana, Pepper and Arecanut. There are many small farmers around my land, who grow the same crop. You have brought many schemes, which are helpful for the farming community. Especially, your schemes of Urea fertilizer withe neem coating and 'Fasal Bhima' schemes are very helpful for us. Even the 'Kisan Samman Yojane' will bring profit to the small farmers."

At the same time, Janardhan Bhat also said that he is expecting more good schemes for the farmers from the Prime Minister. The prime minister, who got the message of Janardhan Bhat spoken in Kannada translated to Hindi, thanked Bhat.

Speaking to the scribes, after his interaction with the Prime Minister, Agriculturist Janardhan Bhat said, "I spoke in Kannada language itself. The Hindi translator has conveyed my message to Modi. I am extremely happy for having got the opportunity to speak to and thank the Prime Minister on behalf of all the farmer of the coastal region. This is an unforgettable moment."
