DRI, GFSU in pact to improve probe methods


Gandhinagar, Feb 25 (IANS): The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat Forensic Science University (GFSU) on Monday to improve investigation into smuggling and commercial frauds cases.

The anti-smuggling agency DRI entered into an agreement with the GFSU to collaborate to improve investigations into smuggling and commercial fraud cases.

"Through this MoU, the DRI will be building the capacity of our central office, zonal offices, which are into collecting intelligence inputs. Second, the GFSU will be helping us modernise our forensic labs across the country," said Debi Prasad Dash, DRI Director.

"We will also set up own special lab at the GFSU campus, which will be a model laboratory in the country, specially dedicated to DRI investigations," Dash said.
