Cathay Pacific to launch one more Hyderabad-Hong Kong flight

Hyderabad, Feb 26 (IANS): Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific on Tuesday announced the launch of fifth non-stop flight from Hyderabad to Hong Kong.

The carrier will begin the service on June 7. Cathay Pacific had launched four flights a week to Hyderabad in December 2012.

This service will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft. It is a two cabin flight -- the award winning flat-bed in Business class and the popular Economy class.

It will provide seamless connectivity through Hong Kong to various destinations in North America, China, the Philippines, Australia, South Korea and Japan, the airline said in a statement.

"India has always been one of our key markets and with the additional flight starting in June, we aim to further strengthen our network in the country. This will also help increase capacity out of Hyderabad by approximately 14 per cent on passenger travel and 10 per cent for cargo shipment," said Mark Sutch, Regional General Manager - South Asia, Middle East and Africa.
