Udupi: English Day celebrated at Nirmala English Medium School

Udupi, Feb 26: English Day was celebrated at Nirmala English Medium School on February 23.

Suja D’Souza, English Lecturer of Nirmala PU College, Brahmavar was invited as a guest of honour on the special occasion of English Day celebration. Correspondent Fr Victor Fernandes and principal Fr Joslie D’Silva were present for the programme.

Sharanya Raj of class 7 delivered a speech on the occasion. Correspondent Fr Victor Fernandes distributed the prizes to the toppers in the moral science value education and catechism examination held on January 5. He said that English is a language spoken throughout the world and insisted the English medium children to speak in good English.



Cultural programme was held by the English Academy. Children of LKG performed rhymes songs and children of class 2 gave an outstanding action song. Class 3 students performed a skit. A wonderful dance was exhibited by girls of 5 and 6 marvelous song sung by girls of class 9. A vibrant tongue twister was given by class 8 girls. Dhanya of class 8 conducted the programme.

Preksha of class 8 rendered the vote of thank. All English teachers and other teachers actively participated and made English Day as a successful event.
