Avalara announces new executive appointments


New Delhi, Feb 28 (IANS): American tax compliance automation service provider Avalara said on Wednesday it has appointed Amit Mathradas as the company's President and Chief Operating officer (COO).

Mathradas was formerly the General Manager and head of North American Small Business at digital payments company PayPal.

In a statement here, the US multinational, which has an Indian arm, also announced the appointments of Sanjay Parthasarathy as Avalara's Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Ross Tennenbaum as the Executive Vice President for Strategic Initiatives.

While Parthasarathy is one of the founders of the data intelligence startup Indix, recently acquired by Avalara, Tennenbaum served as a Managing Director in the US investment firm Goldman Sachs, the statement said.

"We are thrilled to bring new incredible leaders into the Avalara team," said Avalara Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Scott McFarlane.
