Doctor found dead in Jharkhand

Ranchi, March 1 (IANS): A doctor was found dead in Jharkhand's Simdega district on Friday, police said.

Hailing from Kolkata, Asit Malakar's body was found in Konmejra village.

"Wounds on the body indicate that Malakar was first beaten and then hacked to death," Raj Kishore, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), told the media.

Kishore said that Malakar did not return home after attending to a patient on Thursday night.
