Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu), March 1 (IANS): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palaniswami on Friday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sanction a naval station here for fishermen's safety.

The Chief Minister praised Modi for his bold actions against terrorism.

"The Prime Minister was not only leading the country for the past five years but is also the protector of the nation today. The entire nation is behind him and so is Tamil Nadu," Palaniswami said.

On his part Deputy Chief Minister, Panneerselvam said: "From Kashmir to Kanyakumari India is one", is a statement which is repeated often. Today there is a need to clearly demonstrate this.
