New Delhi, Mar 2: In his several interactions to media, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had pointed out that Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar is in Pakistan. He had further said that his health condition is not good. Now Pakistan FM says that the terror outfit has not claimed responsibility for the ghastly attacks in Pulwama and there is confusion if the group was actually responsible for the attacks.
In his interview to the BBC on March 1, Pakistan FM Qureshi talked about JeM’s role in Pulwama attacks. He said that he is not sure if the terror group carried out the attacks in Pulwama and that when people close to JeM contacted the JeM leadership, they denied any responsibility for the attacks. He further said that there is confusion.
Further in the interview to BBC, Qureshi said that Pakistan will not allow its soil for terrorist activity. Qureshi said that India should share the evidence. He said that if India provides credible evidence, they will take action against people responsible for the attacks. Also, the competent authority is going through the dossier sent by India.
This is something which Pakistan leadership has reiterated time and again though it is evident that Pakistan actively supports terror activities in India and several terrorist organisations are active on its soil.
Qureshi questions about IAF destroying JeM terror camps in Pakistan
Talking about Indian air strikes on February 26 on Pakistan terror camps, Qureshi said that there are no such terror camps in Pakistan. He said that if Indian forces claim to have killed 350 terrorists, then where are the bodies of the terrorists killed in the IAF bombing.
Earlier Qureshi had said that Masood Azhar is in Pakistan and is so unwell that he cannot even leave his house.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan has made several flip-flops about presence of terrorists and their activities in Pakistan. JeM had claimed responsibility a few minutes after they carried out the attacks in Pulwama. The latest interview by the Pakistan FM is nothing more than trying all out to negate any responsibility of Pakistan in the ghastly attacks. India has given several evidences to Pakistan related to terrorists operating from Pakistan. India claims that Pakistan actively supports the terrorists in carrying our terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir and several other places in India.
