Passengers advised to report early at Hyderabad airport

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (IANS): In view of the security alert issued by the Centre to all airports, Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday advised passengers to report early.

It has also indefinitely banned the entry of visitors, an airport spokesman said.

Following the tension on the India-Pakistan border earlier this week, a red alert was sounded at all airports across the country.

The police stepped up security with additional barricades to check vehicles entering the airport area while the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for airport security, put additional measures in place, the spokesman said.
