OSDA signs MoUs to boosrt skill ecosystem in Odisha


Bhubaneswar, March 2 (IANS):The Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) on Saturday signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen skill ecosystem.

The first MoU was signed with Tata Community Initiative Trust to scale up the Nano Unicorn Programme of OSDA, said a statement.

Nano Unicorn is a programme of the OSDA where youths are nurtured through training and philanthropic capital to become small entrepreneurs and create employment.

Tata Community Initiative Trust will help the OSDA identify youth with entrepreneurial potential, building the right skill set among the budding entrepreneurs through structured training programmes and help them with finance to set up the business.

The second MoU was signed with the State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTEVT) and CISCO Systems India Private Limited (CISCO).

SCTEVT and CISCO will help in skill development, IT education and workforce development for the youth of Odisha undergoing training at industrial training institutes (ITIs) and polytechnics, the statement said.
