New Delhi, Mar 3: Bollywood actor Ali Fazal is starring in Hollywood project, which is likely to go on floors in 2020. Fazal began his career in Hollywood with a small part in the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious franchise prior to getting the lead in Victoria and Abdul opposite Judi Dench. At present, Ali is all set to star in one more Hollywood project, which is all set to go on floors in 2020. Ali Fazal has experimented in diverse platforms of the entertainment industry, whether it is Bollywood, Hollywood or OTT platforms.
Ali said that he cannot talk much about the Hollywood film now as he has already signed a contract. However, he said that this Hollywood film is a war drama. It is about the Iraq war and is a biopic. His role in the movie is that of a writer, the original man who is still alive and he is very happy with the project.
The ‘Fukrey’ actor at present is busy promoting ‘Milan Talkies’, which is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Kannada star Shraddha Srinath has been paired opposite Ali Fazal in this movie. The film will release on 15th March. Milan Talkies is about a person who has struggled a lot and wants to become the leading filmmaker in India, how he falls in love and how his life rotates around films.
Ali has to finish his earlier commitments first prior to starting fresh. He said they were supposed to start the Hollywood biopic by the end of this year but since he has to finish his commitments here and also one indie project; therefore he will start for the Hollywood project in January 2020.
Apart from promoting Milan Talkies, Ali Fazal is also busy with the second season of Amazon web series ‘Mirzapur’. The first season was directed by Gurmmeet Singh and created by Puneet Krishna and featured an ensemble cast of Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Divyendu Sharma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Rasika Dugal.
Ali started his career in Bollywood with a cameo in 3 Idiots and then he did quite a few films such as Happy Bhag Jayegi and Fukrey apart from the first season of Amazon web series Mirzapur, where he played the character of Guddu Pandit. Ali is now waiting for the release of Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Milan Talkies. Even though his previous work was recognized, the actor feels that he had to go to Hollywood to be relevant in the country.
