Kangana planning to make a film on women warriors

New Delhi, Mar 3: Kangana Ranaut won thousands of hearts with her ferocious performance in her film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’. Her powerful acting and extraordinary direction, has garnered admiration from the audiences in addition to the critics. Even though the film was surrounded with arguments, most when the director of the film Krish left the flick halfway because of differences with Kangana, the film went on to become a huge hit at the box-office. Post the success of Manikarnika, the actress is now all set to make a trilogy of women warriors.

Of late, Kangana made an appearance at the India Today Conclave 2019, where she talked about a series of films on women warriors and said that she is planning to do a film on women warriors, and taking a trilogy onward. She further added that Manikarnika can be the first part and there can be one on Razia Sultan or Durgawati as there are several of them.

After Manikarnika, Kangana had also declared a biopic on her own life. Talking about the same, Kangana said that the biopic will give a chance to look at her life without prejudice. It will not expose people in the industry. Moreover, all the episodes will be there and it will be based on her life’s struggle, which is atypical.

Afterward in the conference, the Manikarnika actor did not mind speaking about the prejudice and difference existing within Bollywood. She said the system in place in Bollywood assists people with privilege and defends when it is confronted.

The 31-year-old’s life has, however, been involved in quite a few controversies over the past few years. From her so-called relationship and fallout with Hrithik Roshan to her blistering appearance on Koffee With Karan where she started the Nepotism question in Bollywood, Kangana has survived it all.

In the meantime, on the work front, the Gangster actress will next be seen in Panga by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and has been paired opposite Jassie Gill. Apart from this, the actress is set to come together with Rajkummar Rao, her Queen co-star in their forthcoming movie titled Mental Hai Kya? Mental Hai Kya, directed and produced by Prakash Kovelamudi and Ekta Kapoor respectively, is a black comedy about social stigma attached to mental sicknesses. Jimmy Sheirgill, Satish Kaushik and Amyra Dastur are also acting in the movie, Mental Hai Kya which is expected to release on May 2019.
