New Delhi, Mar 3: Terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed has confirmed that their camps were attacked in Balakot by the Indian Air Force. An audio clip having the voice of Maulana Ammar has been released in which he can be heard saying that their terrorist camps were attacked by the Indian Air Force. Maulana Ammar has been identified as the brother of Jaish-e-Mohammed chief, Masood Azhar.
In the audio tape Maulana Ammar can be heard saying that the enemy (India) has declared a war on Pakistan by attacking their camps. Ammar shared the details of the attacks on a religious centre in Balakot. He said that the centre had students who were taught the meaning of ‘Jihad’. The students were trained on ‘jihad’ so that they can assist Kashmiris. Ammar can be heard urging his followers to take up weapons and should wage a ‘jihad’ against the enemy and teach them a lesson.
The confession made by the JeM comes as a counter to the Pakistani claims that only trees were hit in the IAF attacks and no damage was done. This is to be noted that Pakistan has consistently denied any damage in the IAF strikes. Pakistan FM Quereshi in fact said that people close to the JeM have denied of their role in the Pulwama attacks.
IAF carried out pre-emptive strikes on Jaish camps in Balakot on February 26 fearing further suicide attacks by the terrorist organization.
