Mangaluru: Dr Jnaneshwar Pai delivers expert lecture at SDM College

Mangaluru, Mar 3: In continuing efforts to enhance and empower the skills of future managers and to compete in the global employment market, Placement Cell of the SDM College of Business Management Post-Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru organized an expert Lecture on the topic ‘Desired Learning Focus and Employability Skills’ on February 25 in the Institute Conference Hall. The guest speaker was Dr Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor, assistant professor and MBA PG coordinator, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte. The function was presided over by Dr Seema S Shenoy, director - MBA Program, SDM College PG Centre.

Dr Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor spoke on the various aspects of employability requirements like Soft Skills and Behavioral aspects that students should inculcate while they are working in industry. He also stressed that the students should develop professionalism, discipline and dedication which is very essential while working in knowledge-based industries. He also shared expectations of the Corporates from the employees. He demonstrated importance three things which enhances employability i.e. subject knowledge, logical thinking and communication skills.

More than 200 MBA students of the institute benefitted from the lecture.

On this occasion, Dr Jnaneshwar Pai was felicitated by the institute director Dr Seema S Shenoy. Placement cell in-charge Prof Ramya Shetty coordinated the programme.
