Puttur: 34th 'Vijaya-Vikrama' Jodukere Kambala held at Uppinangady

Puttur, Mar 3: The 34th 'Vijaya-Vikrama' jodukere Kambala was held on the banks of Netravati river at Uppinangady on Sunday, March 3.

There were 123 pairs of buffaloes competing in ‘Negilu Hiriya’, ‘Hagga Hiriya’, ‘Adda Halage’ and ‘Kana Halage’ categories.

In 'Kana Halage' category, Belady Bava Ashok Shetty, Vamanjoor Tiruvailuguthu Naveenchandra Alva and Barkur Shantharam Shetty's buffaloes won the prizes.

While, in Hagga Hiriya category, Mala Ananda Nilaya Shekhara A Shetty won the first prise and the second prize was grabbed by Kulur Poyyelu P R Shetty. In Hagga Kiriya category, Hosabettu Yerimaru Barke Chandrahas Sadhu Sanil and Mijar Prasad Nilaya Prasidha Shakti Prasad Shetty won first and second prizes respectively.

In Negilu Hiriya category, Krishnapura Nadumane Parameshwara Salian B and Boladaguthu Jagadish Shetty A won the first and the second prize.

In Negilu Kiriya category, Mijar Prasad Nilaya Prasidha Shakti Prasad Shetty and Beluvai Sneha Sadana Laxmi Vinaya Kumar bagged the first and second prizes respectively.

In Adda Halage category, Morla Girish Alva and Meramajal Mission Godwyn Velwyn Vas A won the first and the second prizes.
