Woman doctor commits suicide in hospital

New Delhi, Mar 3 (IANS): A 28-year old woman doctor, working with Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, allegedly committed suicide early on Sunday, police said.

"Hospital management informed the police at 5.51 a.m.," DCP Monika Bhardwaj said.

"A syringe, her bag and cell phone were found lying on the floor," Bhardwaj said.

"In CCTV footage, the deceased was seen entering her cabin after midnight. But at 4.30 a.m., when a fellow doctor knocked at the door, there was no response," she said.

"Sensing danger, when her colleague forcefully entered the cabin at 5.15 a.m. he found Bhardwaj's body on the floor," the DCP further said.

"Bhardwaj last year got married to Udai Dhingra, a doctor at the Guru Teg Bahadur hospital. Both were staying in Panchsheel Park," she said.
