Odisha announces 7th Pay Commission benefits for ULB staff

Bhubaneswar, Mar 3 (IANS): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday announced implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) employees in the state.

The new pay structure will be effective retrospectively from April 1, 2016, said a statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

However, the ULBs will have to meet the additional expenses from their own revenues.

Earlier, the state government had announced a 3 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and pensioners.
